Exercise Overview

San Francisco Community Agencies Responding to Disaster (SF CARD) undertook an initiative to bring community and faith based organizations along with governmental agencies together to participate in Shake Out San Francisco - A Community Collaboration Tabletop Exercise. During this exercise the management and staff of the various organizations and agencies that are members of SF CARD worked to maintain their normal level of service while meeting the additional needs of individuals and families requiring assistance in the aftermath of a 6.8 magnitude earthquake.

The Shake Out San Francisco Tabletop Exercise was facilitated via an internet based application entitled ON-Line eXercise (ONX) System.

Exercise Scenario

In the days following a 6.8 magnitude earthquake San Francisco community and faith based organizations along with their governmental counterparts are working to maintain their pre-earthquake level of service while meeting the needs of thousands of city residents now seeking assistance due to the earthquake.
